House Features

5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, each with air conditioning and ample closet space. All bedrooms include luxury linens, robes, safes, hair dryers, and multi-port charging stations.

  • Bedroom 1: King bed, ensuite bathroom
  • Bedroom 2: King bed
  • Bedroom 3: Queen bed
  • Bedroom 4: Queen bed, ensuite bathroom, semi-private terrace
  • Bedroom 5: Full bed + 2 twin bunk beds, ensuite bathroom, semi-private terrace


Note: All bathrooms have showers only, no bathtubs.

Laundry

  • Full-size washer and dryer located behind the gym.
  • Iron and ironing board are in the Bedroom 2 closet.

Kitchen

  • Chef’s kitchen with full plateware, cookware, and appliances
  • Butler’s pantry with additional appliances
  • Drip coffee maker with Costa Rican coffee and filters
    Specialty teas and tea kettle

Wet Bar

  • Wet bar with sink, wine fridge, pebble ice maker, and Ninja blender
  • Games are located in a lower cabinet

  • 1GB fiber internet with strong coverage throughout the house
  • Smart TVs in every bedroom (50") and living room (65"), all with Roku and streaming apps
  • Bluetooth sound system in the living room
  • PS5 COMING SOON in the bunk room

Water

  • The entire home is equipped with a water softener and filtration system. Tap and refrigerator water are safe to drink. We like to also pick up bottled water at the store to keep on hand for convenience - it is definitely not a necessity.

Heated Pool & Spa

  • Unlike most homes in Costa Rica, our pool and spa are heated for year-round comfort.
  • Default pool temperature is 91°F. Instructions to adjust it are in the house manual, or contact the property manager.

Indoor Gym

  • Located on the ground floor, the gym is air-conditioned and fully equipped for various workout styles.
  • Includes rubber mat flooring, mirrored wall, row machine, CrossFit-style rig, articulating bench, Olympic barbell, free weights (10–55 lbs), dumbbells (5 - 55 lbs), kettlebell attachment, ab mat, foam roller, and jump rope.

Note: Please do not leave children unsupervised or allow them to play on the equipment.

Layout + Accessibility

  • Olla de Oro is a three-story home.
  • Ground level includes two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and access through the garage—convenient for guests with mobility concerns.
  • Main level includes kitchen, living area, full bathroom and pool—stairs are REQUIRED to access these areas.
  • 3rd floor includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms

Neighborhood

  • Located in Hermosa Heights, a gated community with 24/7 security.
  • Amenities include a pool with water slides and jacuzzi, mini-golf course, basketball court, and a cozy movie theater.
  • This isn’t a party house—it’s a sanctuary for families to truly enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica while having a great time. Please be respectful of our full-time resident neighbors.

Rental Car Info

  • A rental car is necessary, as the home is located at the top of a steep hill.
  • Most major rental companies are located near Liberia Airport and provide shuttle service. 
  • When you book your rental car it will likely say located at the airport terminal, this is not accurate. You will meet your car rental company representative at the airport and then take a shuttle to the car company office a few minutes away.
  • SLI (liability insurance) is required in Costa Rica—your U.S. auto insurance isn’t accepted.
  • If using a credit card for additional collision coverage, you MUST bring a printed letter from the issuer showing proof of coverage.
  • Be aware that some rental companies may still require you to purchase their insurance, even with your coverage documentation. 
  • Expect your final rental cost to be higher than the initial quote (up to a few hundred dollars).
